Marketing & Business Development Intern:

Safex is looking for a Junior or Senior level Business, Marketing or Public Relations intern to help support the Marketing and Business development department in achieving long and short term company goals.

Example of job duties:

1. Maintain consistent digital media marketing updates including facebook, twitter, linkedin, website

2. Develop and implement email marketing campaigns through Constant Contact.

3. Assist Marketing & Training Coordinator with development of strategic long and short term plans for marketing and public relations projects

4. Implement strategic long and short term plans for marketing and public relations projects

5. Supporting marketing efforts for open enrollment training courses.

a. Updating database

b. Enter Training Registrations

c. Email marketing campaigns

d. Other marketing efforts to meet revenue goals

6. Help maintain and develop client retention programs using a variety of communication tools.

7. Support new client partnership initiatives

a. Cross-over marketing

b. Proposal follow ups

c. Trade shows

d. Market research

Job Skills:

1. Basic understanding of digital media

2. Computer programs: Publisher, Word, Excel, Powerpoint

3. Willingness to learn

4. Ability to work independently

This is a paid internship requiring 15-20 hours per week. The intern will report to and be supported by the Marketing and Training Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be available from late May through August. There is a possibility the internship could extend into fall.
