Description:

Bank consulting firm (based in Westerville) is looking to hire an intern interested in learning all aspects of the hands-on public relations including print, online marketing campaign, and investor relations.  Intern will update and maintain the firm’s website, launch a social media campaign, preps and disseminate news article while work on IR programming for the firm’s clients.  The intern hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills, an outgoing personality and self confidence in order to integrate and assist the firm’s media messages.  It's essential that the applicant for this position be innovative, have excellent communication skills, demonstrate creativity, be self-motivated/disciplined, organized, and a willingness to work independently.  All work accomplished at our office (Holmes Hotel/corner of Main and State); flexible hours.

Responsibilities:
§  Create print media and maintain tracking report of public relations activity
§  Create written communication to clients and prospects
§  Update firm’s website with fresh content as needed and make recommendations for client site updates
§  Obtain and post biography’s for all advisory and partnerships on website        
§  Take, edit and post video and photographs from general meetings and events on website
§  Contribute to website redesign project in various ways (L/T goals)
§  Monitor and post on blogs, forums, and social networks
§  Create online outreach and promotion using Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc
§  Compile and maintain database of prospects
§  Support the firms proprietary software programs
§  Assist in the creation of signage, circulars, e-mail campaigns, on line promotion, etc.
§  If able, assist with execution of meetings, social events or trade show
§  Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) required
Requirements:

Undergraduate students applying for this internship must be outgoing, have strong written and verbal communication skills, posses extensive knowledge of social media and Web understanding. Students applying should be majoring in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism.  Internship is fully flexible to student’s schedule. Ability to navigate with Microsoft Word, some Excel, publisher and PowerPoint should apply. Web site design/maintenance experience is a bonus along with social media’s. 

Workload/Compensation:

Intern should expect approximately 10 hours of work per week.  Compensation based on $12.00 an hour and provided weekly to help offset school expenses (tuition/books, living, etc.).  Internship follows that of school year; Excellent Internship for Sophomore/Junior .
