Ashland offers a public relations intern position to junior or senior level university students to work within Ashland’s Communications and Corporate Affairs organization. The selected intern will help plan, create and implement communications activities that support Ashland business groups, plan and help implement media relations activities, write news releases and other related materials, monitor trade publications, assist in communications research activities, and other duties as assigned.
The internship is a paid position for 10 – 12 weeks and will be located in Ashland’s Dublin, Ohio, facilities.
Skills and Experience *Pursuing BA/BS degree in public relations or related field required
*Proven experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint*Ambitious, skilled, resourceful and creative

Job duties: to develop, write and produce an endowed fund publication for Otterbein’s investors. The position will work from fall through next winter or spring, and report to Director of Investor Relations Lori Green. The successful candidate will:
· Have exceptional writing skills
· Be a self-starter
· Be competent with Microsoft Word.
Some knowledge of layout, design and/or printing is preferred, but not required.
Researching peer institutions reports, the successful candidate will create a communication piece for Otterbein investors that updates them on the University’s finances, provides donor profiles, and/or may include recipient success stories (how the funds are being used).
The internship is unpaid, but all authorized expenses will be paid by Investor Relations.

Social Business Strategies is a social and new media strategy firm that works with organizations to develop communication strategies and skilled human business teams who use the social Web to begin, build and maintain valuable business relationships. SBS is seeking an intern as a Digital Content Coordinator who will be primarily responsible for optimizing content for the web and assisting with client projects. As part of this internship, SBS will help the intern start a personal blog and coach the intern on best practices and content strategy. This internship will require a 15 hour per week time commitment for the duration of the fall semester and is unpaid, but will provide the intern with valuable experience in social media communication, access to SBS’ elaborate professional network and a letter of recommendation for hard work during the internship period.
