*Job Description: Aid in development of marketing special programs, prepare correspondence and flyers, respond to requests for information, distribution of informational and educational material, public advisory group programs and special programs to project favorable image of assigned agency and to insure awareness of agency activities; Involved in preparation and dissemination of educational and informational material reflecting agency activities and performs related program activities (e.g., develops, prepares, types, proofs and issues special programs marketing materials and/or advisory group announcements and meeting minutes and/or assists with coordinating small work group activities); Develops and may present information and educational displays, programs, materials and/or communications to internal personnel regarding special program activities; Writes, types, edits and performs lay-out work on publications, articles and/or newsletters; Coordinates special projects; Consults with agency supervision and staff regarding special program aspects. Serves as resource person for information on positive personnel presentation of agency programs and activities; Responds to written and/or telephone requests for special program information and/or presentation; Answers phones and sets up special program events/activities; Provides secretarial assistance through routine administrative tasks (i.e., independently provides explanation, orally and/or in writing, of services or activities of assigned area) (e.g., drafts and researches responses to inquiries; compiles data; prepares reports, gathers statistics and may compile in report form); Performs research and writes reports to present straightforward information; sets up office procedures; Coordinates daily work flow of office.



Rate of pay varies depending on class standing.

Preferred Majors: Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field of study.
