Engauge (formerly TenUnited) is a full-service advertising agency with offices in Columbus, Pittsburgh, Orlando, Atlanta and Austin. Interns are involved in every aspect of the agency and are provided with real responsibility and hands-on work. Our ideal candidates will be enthusiastic self-starters with strong communication skills. Interns can expect to participate in strategic research, project proposals, project follow-up, day-to-day account services, new business and document/presentation preparation.
The Media Intern Position will entail the following: Assisting the media department with print, radio and television buys, coordinating order confirmations and inputting research data. Some time will be given to planning and learning planning tools that aid in the creation of media strategies.
An internship at Engauge is both a great way to learn about life in an advertising agency and an excellent way to springboard a career.
To be considered, applicants should be at least junior status, have reliable transportation and must be able to work at least 10 hours a week. Our program is offered in the spring, summer, fall and winter.
Media Skill Set:
Familiarity with MAC/PC, MS, Excel and PowerPoint.

Community Affairs Intern
The Village of Canal Winchester is a vibrant and historic town located approximately 15 miles southeast of downtown Columbus. This growing community, which boasts plenty of small town charm, is expected to reach city-status after the 2010 census.
The municipality is looking for an intern to assist the Community Affairs Department with writing, editing, graphic design, media relations, special event planning and other related tasks. Internship start and end dates as well as work hours are flexible. Priority will be given to students who are able to work at least 10 hours per week for a minimum of one quarter/semester.
The internship is unpaid but can be available for college credit. Candidates may apply at anytime during the year. However, students interested in an internship beginning in January are encouraged to apply by early December. Please forward a cover letter, resume and a writing sample to:

Sandbox Communities is accepting resumes for a 2010 PR/Marketing Internship. The internship opportunity is open to Junior and Senior level undergraduate students in Central Ohio. The internship is unpaid but eligible to receive college credit for the internship. Students with an academic background and interest in Public Relations, Marketing or Business are strongly desired.
Sandbox Communities is a multi-location co-working space where entrepreneurs and other professionals have a collective place to work. Co-workers choose from full-time, part-time and single day memberships. For full-time members, Sandbox offers permanent desks with all hours access, yet each membership is amenity filled with resources to ensure a comfortable working environment. Sandbox has all the benefits of a commercial office rental including the equipment and tools needed to run a successful business, but provides a more collaborative environment than the traditional workspace.
As an Intern you will report to the Director of Marketing and spend a considerable amount of time learning from and working with other members of the Sandbox leadership team. As an intern you will work on Social Media marketing and PR campaigns (approximately 40% of time), PR activities relating to traditional media (15% of time), event management (20% of time), internet marketing excluding Social Media (15% of time) and various administrative duties (10% of time).

2010 Summer InternshipsWant an exciting summer covering Major League Baseball? MLB.com offers 30 reporting internships to aspiring sportswriters. These internships are designed to give associates the full range of experiences that comes with covering a professional team. Each associate will work closely with a site reporter to give visitors to a team’s Web site all the information they need to follow the team from Opening Day to season’s end. Each Major League team will have one associate. We will be looking for talented college juniors and seniors, as well as graduate students, for our 2010 Summer Internship Program. If you are graduating in May or June of 2010, you are still eligible. The application deadline is Dec. 11, 2009. We will make our selections by the end of January. We expect each intern to spend a minimum of 10 weeks in the program, dates determined by a person’s college schedule. The more flexible an applicant is in terms of which Major League city he or she can work in, the better the person’s chances of being selected. Interns will be paid $500 per week.
