Position: Social Media Intern
Schedule: 10-15 hours per week
The Social Media Intern will assist Sodexo Conference Centers in managing social media platforms for publicizing events, updating clients on activities, and building awareness among existing and new customers.
The ideal candidate is a self-proclaimed social networking expert who actively uses Social Networking tools like Facebook, Twitter, Linked In and other Web 2.0 platforms. You should have a passion for meetings, events, and hospitality, and be motivated to assist Sodexo Conference Centers in implementing its social media communications strategy for the benefit of the entire company.
Responsibilities:
Launch and/or manage existing social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Google Groups, and other relevant Web 2.0 sites.
Contact property representatives to learn gain timely story and translate to ensure a positive and interesting message.
Work with Director of National Marketing to ensure brands are represented professionally and consistently.
Translate news and property insights into “social networking speak” and online jargon as appropriate, while maintaining professional image.
Manage online discussions by listening to users, communicating the message to leadership and ensuring timely follow-up.
Monitor and track the use of chapter social networking tools using metric tools like Google Analytics. Prepare reports to update leadership on usage statistics.
