About US Educational Group:
USEG assists universities and colleges in the United States with international student
recruitment, specifically focusing on the Middle East, North Africa and Eurasia. Our studentcentric website and print magazine, Al Jamiat Magazine (www.al-jamiat.com), targets students with original content and assistance with the college application process.

There are 2 internship openings.
Internship work will include:
• Media Relations: Creating media lists, PR lists, pitching stories to college/university
newspapers, connecting directly with international newspapers/radio stations for event
coverage
• Writing: Press releases, short posts for website, newsletter articles, editing articles
• Project management: Creating tracking documents, time management, planning and
scheduling
• Public Relations: Client interaction, responding to questions and requests for
information, leveraging established relationships to drive coverage, building new
relationships with partner companies, colleges and universities
• Event Planning: Conference planning assistance, PR and direct marketing for events
• Online Marketing: Search engine optimization, search engine marketing, social media
leverage
Timing:
Resumes accepted through May 15, candidate will be selected by May 30
• 5-15 hours weekly
• Length: June-August/September 2009 (Potential to extend internship through December)
• Could lead to a part-time, year-around position
Required Skills:
• College Junior, Senior or Graduate Student

Fundraising/Special Event Planning Intern Job Description
Intern is responsible for planning, implementing and participating in any fundraising events during internship.
Assist with planning of special events, including meeting with event committees, developing community resources, generating new ideas and attending event meetings. Work with development staff to increase quality of events.
Aid development director and special events directors with tasks, which are specific to each special event/function.
Help with special event mailings, publication design, logistical tasks for events, phone calls related to donations, and other tasks as determined necessary by special event staff.
Participate in any activity related to the event.

Engauge (formerly TenUnited) is looking for someone who would describe himself or herself as a self-starter, strategic thinker, willing to help out where needed and interested in the consumer behavior aspect of advertising.

Job Description:
The behavioral insights intern will assist the Behavioral Insights Group in the following areas:

Preparing materials for research projects. Often, we send out ‘homework assignments’ to respondents to complete prior to their scheduled participation in a research project. The strategy intern will be responsible for organizing, developing and assembling these materials. This may also include preparing any materials that we are going to be testing with respondents.

Conducting secondary research on a project basis. This may include gathering trends on a particular category, doing a competitive analysis of the category, looking at marketing strategies for key players in the category, uncovering key insights (demographics, behaviors, needs and wants, etc.) into the targeted consumer, researching background of a company and uncovering the equity of the brand, as well as opportunities for the brand.

Attend and participate in ethnographic interviews. This includes going to in-home interviews with trained qualitative researchers from Engauge. Participation in the research interviews may include video taping the interview, taking notes on key areas of discovery and being actively involved with the moderating at the time of the interview.

Analyze ethnographic research projects. This includes reviewing and transcribing the taped interviews, pulling out key consumer insights to help mold our strategy for client presentations and getting the video portion of the presentation ready.

Update Pop Culture Wall. This wall is updated weekly and highlights trends in general pop culture as well as trends specific to our clients. The strategy intern will be assigned an area and responsible for the weekly update.

Responsibilities will include:

Internship/Volunteer Opportunity

The Centerburg High School journalism program is looking for a volunteer/intern to help develop its broadcasting element and an online publication during the 2009-2010 school year.

Centerburg is approximately a 25-minute drive from Otterbein. Its newspaper, the Trojan Crier, is an award-winning publication with a staff of approximately 15 students. The current broadcast is a 3 to 5-minute promo for the paper that is shown the day before its publication once a month. A college student volunteer or intern would help students expand this broadcast and develop an online version of the Trojan Crier. The online publication would cover breaking news, carry highlights from the print version, and provide a venue for broadcast productions. Job Title: Event Team Intern

Time Requirement: 10 – 16 hours per week May-August ( Some Nights & Weekends required)

I. OBJECTIVE: Formulate and Implement COSI Event social media policy. Establish guidelines and implement multi-tier social media plan for promotion of COSI Event program.


II. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: Intern will establish connections in social media format and attend events in order to capture experiences to share with potential clients, “fans”, etc. Intern will also assist Sales Managers with various duties and tasks during events.
