We are currently looking to recruit new interns for (spring) quarter at Engauge (formerly, TenUnited). We are currently looking for an IT intern to start immediately for the Spring quarter. This individual will need to have a general knowledge of the following ; computer software (MS office, Office Creative Suite 3&4) hardware trouble shooting, excellent phone etiquette, and needs to be personable. This is a part time position and we are flexible about schedules. This position is open to all majors, but IT or Computer Science majors may be the best fit.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The Ohio Lottery Commission is recruiting college students for summer internship opportunities located at the Ohio Lottery offices in Cleveland, Ohio. The summer internships will begin in May 2010 and end in September 2010. The positions are temporary in nature, benefits are not offered.

Employment and Educational Requirements:
All applicants must be currently and continuously enrolled in school. Applicants not enrolled in at least one course will not be eligible for the internship.
All applicants will be required to submit to a background investigation via Highway Patrol, pursuant to section 3770.02 of the Ohio Revised Code.
New hires agree to participate in the State of Ohio Direct Deposit of paycheck program per Section 124.151(B) of the Ohio Revised Code.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Skilled in the operation of a personal computer and office equipment; use of an adding machine/calculator. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables within a familiar context; apply principles to solve everyday, practical problems; read, copy and record figures accurately; prepare correspondence; copy records and data precisely without error; maintain accurate records; gather, collate and classify information about data, people or things; assess information and provide appropriate status summary; distribute, stuff and send out mail; file correspondence, reports and records; retrieve files for requested information; answer telephones and take messages or refer calls; photocopy; send and receive facsimiles; cooperate with co-workers on group projects.

The American Red Cross is looking for a Communication Intern for spring quarter. The intern will assist the Communication Department in various writing capacities, meet and interview blood donors and recipients and write feature stories, design various types of marketing materials, serve as photographer at events and much more. The internship requires approximately 10 hours per week for one quarter (possibly more) with shift hours being flexible. These internships are filled on a quarterly basis and are unpaid. RADIO BROADCASTING INTERNSHIP for WOSU PUBLIC RADIO “ALL SIDES WITH ANN FISHER” (Volunteer, Unpaid Internship)

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES: This is primarily a technical position.
Broadcast Intern will be responsible for uploading daily pod cast of “All Sides with Ann Fisher” to our web page. Other technical duties as needed. Training provided. Two hours required Monday through Friday: noon to 2 PM or 1 – 3 PM. Some flexibility in schedule possible.
Be part of the “All Sides with Ann Fisher” team and learn first-hand how a local NPR radio talk show is created.
University Credit opportunity…as agreed to by university/college department and All Sides staff. Must be a college or university student enrolled in an approved course to qualify for course credit.
“All Sides with Ann Fisher” is a live, public affairs talk show, with listener phone calls, on WOSU public radio. “All Sides” is streamed live, podcast and archived at www.wosu.org/allsides.
Ann Fisher is the Host/Executive Producer of “All Sides with Ann Fisher.” All Sides Producer Linda Taylor is supervisor for the Radio Broadcast Intern position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Must be a current college or university student…and commit to the position for at least one quarter or semester.
2) Must have a genuine interest in learning about radio broadcasting and public broadcasting.
3) Must be organized and detail oriented.
4) Must be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
Candidate will be selected through a competitive application process.

Community Affairs Intern

The Village of Canal Winchester is a vibrant and historic town located approximately 15 miles southeast of downtown Columbus. This growing community, which boasts plenty of small town charm, is expected to reach city-status after the 2010 census.

The municipality is looking for an intern to assist the Community Affairs Department with writing, editing, graphic design, media relations, special event planning and other related tasks. Internship start and end dates as well as work hours are flexible. Priority will be given to a student who can commit through the end of the summer and for a minimum of 10 hours per week during the school year.

The internship is unpaid but can be available for college credit. Candidates may apply at anytime during the year. Internship Responsibilities:
Assist with researching, drafting and editing documents such as press releases and newsletter articles
Assist with design and layout of newsletters and other marketing materials
Assist with the village’s social networking activities
Track traditional and social media coverage related to the village
Write content for village’s Web site and assist with general updates to the site through Web content management system
Assist with coordination, publicity and on-site production of events
Take photos of events and landmarks and maintain database of these photos
Help respond to questions and requests for information from the community and general public
Assist at the community center and municipal pool as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
· College student pursing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or other related field
· Prior internship or related work experience preferred
· General knowledge of AP style writing
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
