MISC

My name is Aaron Turner and I am currently helping Representative-Elect Michael Stinziano (D - 25th House District) with his transition into elected office. The Representative-Elect had a fairly robust internship program during the campaign and he would like to make it the internship program a in his state office one of the cornerstones of his tenure in the legislature.

I am hoping you can pass along the information below to anyone you think will be interested in working as an intern in the next General Assembly with Representative-Elect Stinziano.

Representative-Elect Michael Stinziano (D-25th House District) is looking for a group of students who have an interest in state government and politics to serve as interns in his office. The Representative-Elect will have a state office in the Vern Riffe Center as well as an office in the district. If you chose to become an part of the internship program you will likely be helping in both offices.
The duties will vary between the two offices. Some of the things that you will be doing if you intern in the state office includes:

- Constituent Services
- Attending Committee Meetings
- Researching Policy

Some of the tasks you will be responsible for in the district office include:

- Constituent Services
- Attending City Meetings (City Council, Community Planning, etc.) and preparing memos for the Representative
- Help planning and coordinating events

The Representative-Elect is willing to be very flexible with your schedule and this would be a great way to gain hands on legislative experience, network, and become actively involved in state politics.

Please let me know if you are interested and I'll let you know what will occur over the next few months.

Thanks!
