Franklin County Special Olympics Internship Opportunity

The Special Olympics Intern will serve as an integral team member of Franklin County’s Special Olympics program.

About the Internship:
• Open but not limited to students studying communications, public relations, marketing, special education, social work, or business
• Length and start dates are planned according to The Ohio State University’s quarter system
• Approximately 15 hours per week
• Great opportunity to create a job portfolio
• Only 15 minutes away from Ohio State’s campus

Key Objectives:
• Good verbal communication skills
__________________________________________________________________
Job Description:
• Writing, editing and designing communication pieces for Special Olympics athletes, their providers, staff and parents
• Planning and management for Special Olympic practices, games, tournaments and special events
• Planning for and identifying transportation and logistics issues
• Office Operations
• Maintaining and creating posts for the Special Olympics blog

Application Deadlines:
The internship is based on quarters at The Ohio State University.
• Spring deadline: March 7
• Summer deadline: June 1
• Fall deadline: August 22
• Winter deadline: November 23
• Spring deadline: March 1
