Internal Communications Intern

Job Summary
The position Intern - Communications assists the Communications Department in implementing MCHS' internal communication to associates, managers, physicians board members, and volunteers, including producing content for strategic and organizational communication in various communications channels (e.g., publications, meetings, e-mail, intranet, bulletin boards, board reports, special events, etc.) and helping foster internal stakeholder trust, goodwill, and active engagement in support of MCHS' Mission and strategic initiatives.
Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
§ Education: Coursework toward a Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or public relations.
§ Effective Communication Skills
§ Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
§ Excellent organizational skills.
Job and Technical Competencies
§ Internal Communication: Help implement strategic communication to internal stakeholders in support of MCHS' strategic initiatives. Special emphasis is given to internal communication that: (1) Helps foster associate engagement, (2) Helps build the desired corporate culture, rooted in MCHS' guiding behaviors and commitment to service excellence, and (3) Helps foster commitment to, and demonstrate continuing fulfillment of, MCHS' Mission, Vision and Core Values.
§ Communications Infrastructure: Help develop content a communications channels (e.g., publications, meetings, e-mail, intranet, board reports, bulletin boards, special events, etc.) that supports strategic and organizational communication to internal stakeholders.
§ All other duties as assigned.
