I'm writing to let you know the Institute for Humane Studies is now accepting applications to their paid internship programs at more than 100 news organizations, new media firms, and investigative newsrooms. Applicants may also apply for funding for internships secured on their own. We're looking for talented writers of any major who support free markets and individual rights. Our two internship programs give aspiring journalists the chance to learn a range of skills to stay
competitive in the evolving news industry:
• Journalism Internship Program: Our flagship journalism program offers opportunities
in print, broadcast, new media, and investigative reporting. Program includes a stipend, a housing and travel allowance, and a seminar on career skills and freedom of the press. Spring, Summer, and Fall placements.

• Public Policy Internship Program: Writers considering a political beat can work at a think tank or policy organization in DC or one of more than 40 states, while developing a network of contacts The 10 week summer program includes two policy seminars in Washington, DC.
