Hi Denise,

My name is Toni Schorling and I am the editor of the Community Recreation Guide distributed through the Westerville Parks and Recreation Department. We have updated the Guide giving it more of a magazine feel and with that comes magazine type articles. Christa Dickey, Community Affairs Administrator for the City of Westerville has been in contact with the Kathy Krendl regarding an opportunity to have the Otterbein University Communication students write articles regarding the City. After talking with our Director, Randy Auler we are interested in giving your Communication students an opportunity to do some writing for us, also.

We are looking for a couple of students to work closely with me on story writing which will include interviewing individuals for the story, taking photographs, and writing the story. We would like to begin this process late summer, in time for the Winter Community Recreation Guide.

We would need someone to write about 5 - 10 stories which includes interviews and possibly taking a few pictures. We would be happy to work with you on credits if you can supply all paperwork and requirements from your end. Time frame would be mid September to mid October and then again mid December to mid January with the possibility of continued work (press releases and stories) between the two. There is no payment for this internship.

We have already begun the process of the next guide, so we would need someone ASAP.
