Blue Wave Strategy, Inc. empowers and strengthens political and nonprofit organizations to operate to the best of their potential.  We have an open internship opportunity in Columbus, Ohio to gain valuable fundraising, political, and policy experience working with conservative, free market and free enterprise principled state elected official organizations nationwide.          

Job Description

Duties:

·        Data Entry

o   Work alongside the Finance and Event Director to ensure all records and documents are continually up-to-date for various organizations

·        Event Assistance

o   Assist with the formulation and upkeep of event marketing materials

o   Work alongside the Finance and Event Director on mailings

o   Maintain registrations for various events

o   Assist with booking travel for state level elected officials

o   Make various types of phone call asks to current and prospective members

o   Manage the thank you program for public and private attendees

·        Fundraising Assistance

o   Manage the thank you program for donor contributions

o   Assist with various member maintenance communications

·        Political and Policy Research Assistance

o   Assist the Political and Communication Director with national political research for various state level elected positions

o   Assist the Policy and Communication Director with research for various policy initiatives

Qualifications:

·        Commitment of 10+ hours a week

·        A student in good standing at a 4-year college or university

·        Excellent communication and research skills

·        Must own or have access to a personal computer during work hours

·        Must be detail oriented

·        Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

·        Passion for conservative politics and policy

·        Previous campaign or political experience is a plus but is not required
