*Job Description:If you’re looking for a challenging and meaningful career, consider the American Heart Association. We have an excellent opportunity in our Columbus office for an American Heart Association Heart Ball Intern.

The Heart Ball Intern will be responsible for assisting permanent staff with the logistical aspects of the 2014 Heart Ball campaign and Healthy Family Fitness camp. These responsibilities are related primarily to event planning, auction coordinating, and various administrative duties. This internship gives great experience working with a highly regarded non-profit organization.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: provide assistance in preparation for the Heart Ball, Research Reception, and/or Healthy Family Fitness Camp, soliciting in-kind donations/auction items, preparing signage, program booklets and event day materials, and follow up phone calls to donors. Responsibilities will also include tracking sponsor amenities and data entry and administrative duties as needed.
*Qualifications:Must currently be enrolled in a bachelor’s program, preferably marketing / sales. Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Looking for someone with a friendly personality, positive attitude, can work in a team or as an individual, be organized, flexible and resourceful, detail oriented, creative and trustworthy. Be able to work with Microsoft Office 2007.
