Marketing Manager
Interfaces with
Marketing Manager, National Sales Manager and Chief Operating Officer
Overall Responsibility
Working under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Communications Intern
supports the company by developing writing and imagery for communications with prospective
customers, current customers, and suppliers. Other Marketing Communications responsibilities
may include social media and forms of advertising. The subject matter of the communications will
be delegated by the Marketing Manager as well as the National Sales Manager and Regional Sales
Manager.
Takeaways for the Intern
Interns in this position will gain experience in writing copy (in blogs, direct marketing material, press
releases, etc.) and developing visuals for our marketing communications, as well as a look into (and
possible experience in) several other areas of marketing.
Terms of Employment
Hours for this position range from a minimum of 10 hours to a maximum of 15 hours per week (between
8am-5pm, Mon-Fri). Position is considered part time and is not permanent; the internship will span
3-4 months with the possibility of an expanded timeframe if agreed upon by the student and Caster
Connection. This position is paid on an hourly basis – rate will be stated in the interviewing process.

Desired Qualifications
• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, English or a
similar area
o Graphic design experience and ability (with Adobe Creative Suite programs a
plus) is necessary
• Interest in and classroom experience in marketing communications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft
Powerpoint and other programs
• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is a plus – but not required
• Ability to work well independently or in a team – problem solving ability and willingness
is highly valued
• Good writing, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally is a must
• Timeliness and good attendance (proactive communication about attendance issues) is
very important
• Experience and ability using standard office equipment: computer, telephone systems,
scanner/copier, etc.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
