*Job Description:	Come work as part of the translational research team at the Center for Injury Research and Policy at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where we take injury research out of academic journals and into the community. Gain valuable experience in a nonprofit organization and a greater understanding of public health communications and promotion. This internship is unpaid but offers flexible hours (10-40 hours per week depending upon the student’s schedule). Start and end dates are also flexible. We give interns many opportunities to contribute, such as • Assisting in the development of health education materials related to pediatric injury prevention. • Researching innovative methods of health promotion. • Learning how to apply behavioral theory in project design. • Assisting with photo and video shoots. • Drafting press releases and fact sheets. • Writing research briefs. • Editing website and print material text. • Helping coordinate media interviews. • Capturing the media’s response to our research. • Writing informational video scripts and assist with video production.
*Qualifications:	Pursuing or recently earned a degree in public health, communications, or marketing Strong writing and grammar skills Attention to detail Reliable, professional attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team
