Communications Department comes in. Our team is made up of more than 50
professionals who serve our care sites and have the opportunity to share these
stories every day.
Internships in this dynamic, fast-paced environment are multi-faceted
and designed to offer students real-world experience and portfolio-building
projects. We are structured similar to an agency in the way we serve our
internal clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Junior or senior level college student pursuing a degree in marketing,
communications or a related field.
+ Strong organizational skills as well as excellent written and oral
communication skills.
+ Ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a part of a
team.
+ Past project management experience and previous internship experience
are preferred.
JOB
SPECIFICS:
+ Paid ($10/hour) for no less than a six month commitment with 30, 60 and
90 day reviews to ensure the internship is a good fit.
+ Hours per week depend on the position and job site, but typically are as
follows: 20 hours/week during school year and up to 40 hours/week during the
summer. Office is located downtown at the corner of 4th Street and
Broad Street.
+ Some travel may be required so a vehicle is required.
+ Start date is
flexible with the ideal start date being in May or early June.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Create and update events and sponsorship plans.
+ Project manage printed materials.
+ Attend planning meetings, assist in brainstorming and develop
minutes/compile notes.
+ Support registration process.
+ Research new venues, ideas and other event and sponsorship related
materials.
+ Support overall events and sponsorships logistics and assist in
executing the event and sponsorships during the weekday, week night and
weekends (based on event/ sponsorship date).
+ Support events and sponsorships staff
with other day-to-day responsibilities
