OhioHealth Community Relations/ External Affairs Intern 2014

OhioHealth Community Relations/External Affairs Intern   As the largest health system in central Ohio, we have opportunities for community support, and associate volunteer engagement in the area of Community Relations/External Affairs.   Our team serves our care sites across the system, and has the opportunity to interact with OhioHealth associates, leaders, and physicians, as well as community organizations every day.    An internship in this dynamic environment is multi-faceted and designed to offer the student a real-world experience and portfolio-building projects.       Qualifications:  -       Junior or senior level college student pursuing a degree in marketing, communications or related field -       Strong organizational skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills -       Ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a part of a team -       Past project management experience and previous internship experience are preferred   Job Specifics: -       Paid ($10/hour) for no less than a six-month commitment with 30-, 60- and 90-day reviews to ensure the internship is a good fit -       Hours per week depend on the position and job site, but typically are as follows:  20 hours/week during school year and up to 40 hours/week during the summer.   Office location will be in a corporate business environment. -       Some travel may be required so a vehicle is required   External Affairs/Community Relations Responsibilities, such as: -       Assist with Associate Volunteerism including coordinating recruitment activities and assisting with campaigns such as Operation Feed, Associate Giving Campaign, Heart Walk, etc.  -       Support sponsorship logistics and assist in execution of the event -       Attend planning meetings, assist in brainstorming, and develop minutes/compile notes -       Utilize technological skills to update intranet page, and associate volunteer program offerings -       Provide research to update database -       Support External Affairs/Community Relations staff with other day-to-day responsibilities         To apply, please go to https://www.ohiohealth.com/jobs Job Opening ID #925372   Apply by April 30!
