| *Job Description: | The Central Ohio Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation is seeking a friendly and outgoing intern to assist with event planning, fundraising grant development, and engagement of our chapter members. This internship is available for immediate start with the potential for a three or six month commitments depending on availability. Approximately 4-5 hours of work per week to be spent in our office, located in Worthington, OH, with potential to help at some evening and/or weekend activities if available. Responsibilities: • Assist with logistical set up and event planning needs for upcoming programs – contact vendors, gathering potential costs, scout out event venues, etc. • Help develop grants that will help fund ongoing and new programs for the Chapter. • Provide day-of-event assistance at several upcoming chapter events – Chapter Open House, Family Camps, Hemophilia Walk, etc. • Assist with outreach to media outlets to promote events. • Contact chapter members to update records and re-engage them in the chapter’s activities. What you will get out of this internship: • Learn how to implement non-profit programs and services • Gain experience with fundraising and event planning skills for a variety of events • Work with media outlets • Gain inside knowledge on the day-to-day workings of a small non-profit. Compensation: To help offset expenses and for acknowledgment of service, a stipend in the amount of $1,000 will be available per three months of work. This stipend will be paid after the first two weeks of work. For every consecutive month of work thereafter, a stipend of $350 will be made available for each month of work. |
| *Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: • Professional demeanor and phone etiquette. • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Pursuing or have already earned a degree in non-profit administration, social work, public relations, marketing, or a related field. • Desire to help a small, local non-profit. Preferred Qualifications: • Desire to gain Experience working for a non-profit organization. • Desire to learn event planning and logistics. • Experience with • Experience coordinating and/or promoting events. |
