DSW Shoe Warehouse is offering a photo stylist internship for students. Interns should be looking to gain experience with product styling/photography and gain a better understanding of the retail industry. The ten week internship will last from June 17 – August 23 (dates are somewhat flexible), part-time (20 hours/week). Must be detail oriented and familiar with basic lighting and photography. This is a PAID internship with pay dependent on experience/skill. Please provide availability (days/hours).
Basic Function:
• Preps/styles shoes and assists with the photography of products for dsw.com in a fully digital in-house studio:
- Use of styling tools to highlight features while maintaining image consistency and achieving both merchandizing and creative objectives
• Partners with Post Production team to create final web ready images
• Maintains the quality and consistency of all categories on dsw.com
• Meets daily production goals, and set imagery standards as noted in the Style Guide

*Qualifications: Skills:
• Proficient in Photoshop CS5
• Must be organized and process oriented
• Eye for detail
• Ability to multi-task effectively, work under pressure, in a fast-paced and growing team environment
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Knowledge of current design trends and fashions
• Physical requirements:
- Must be capable of standing for long periods of time
- Should be able to lift 25 lbs
Experience:
• Experience related to photography
• Styling experience a plus
• Retail experience a plus
Education:
• Must be a college student; preferably junior or senior year in a Photography, Design, Art, Communications, Merchandising, or related field
• 3.0 GPA or higher
• Be prepared to show current and relevant samples of your work

• Maintains proper file naming and image protocol for upload and archiving

*Qualifications: Skills:
• Proficient in Photoshop CS5
• At least two years experience with Mac and Photoshop
• Eye for detail
• Knowledge of color correction a plus
• Ability to retouch to specific set requirements
• Must be organized and process oriented
• Ability to multi-task effectively, work under pressure, in a fast-paced and growing team environment
• Physical requirements:
- Must be capable of standing for long periods of time
- Should be able to lift 25 lbs
Experience:
• Experience in a related post production, retouching, or color correction position a plus
• Retail experience a plus
Education:
• Must be a college student; preferably junior or senior year in a Photography, Design, Art, Communications or related field
• 3.0 GPA or higher
