2011 Ohio State Fair Natural Resources Park
Communications Intern
Schedule
- Begin the end of June/beginning of July
- Work 20-hour weekly schedules until July 15 (days and time to be
determined)
- Beginning Monday, July 18, work full-time schedule with the possibility of
extra hours until the end of the State Fair on August 7
- The following week(s), work a 20-hour schedule with final day of Friday,
August 12 or 19 depending on duties needed (internship could possibly
extend beyond this date)
Compensation
- $9 per hour
Duties
- Assist Communications Division in all fair responsibilities including:
1. Write/edit news releases
2. Organize ticket and parking requests for all parties including staff and
amphitheater performers
- Assistant Natural Resources Park Coordinator in all fair responsibilities
including:
1. Preparing Natural Resources Park for the Fair
2. Prepare Pavilion and other venues for opening in Park
- Assist in coordinating Natural Resources Park during Fair
1. Work as needed during the term of the Ohio State Fair in the Natural
Resources Park
2. Trouble shooting any problems that may arise
3. Open up and/or close Natural Resources Park each day
4. Main contact/manager of Park during run of State Fair
5. Make sure literature is properly stocked in all areas of the Park
6. Media liaison during duration of State Fair for Park
7. And other duties as assigned
- Other Communications duties
