Internship responsibilities: We are looking for an intern to work with us on
a wide variety of projects, while learning the ins and outs of an agency.
About Advantage Media:
We are a small full-service advertising agency with approximately 20 clients in industries
that include home improvement, food, auto, and education. We provide services in
media strategy, media buying, television and radio production, print design and layout,
public relations, and social media. We also produce and publish a semi-annual
magazine called The Buckeye Journal, which is distributed to homes in the Columbus
area.
The Intern:
- Will experience the agency, through tasks including but not limited to - helping with
production of radio & TV ads, maintaining vendor/station invoices, working on social
media accounts, writing for publications, and assisting with the development of
presentations and reports.
- Support the advertising efforts by organizing client accounts, and imputing and
reconciling invoices using the advertising software.
- Work with clients and TV/Radio sales reps to ensure all tasks receive proper
attention.
- Perform general administration duties as assigned, including answering phones and
keeping paperwork organized.
Internship Qualifications: The successful candidate must desire to develop an
understanding of the workings of an advertising agency. The individual must be able to
take on assignments and demonstrate exceptional organizational and communicational
skills. The individual must also possess the ability to multitask and to interact
professionally with a variety of people. Student will have preferably at least a sophomore
standing in a related field of study.
Length of internship: Approximately June – August
Start & end times are flexible based on intern’s needs. If you can start right away, great!
Compensation: College credit
