Job Title: Marketing and Event Planning Intern

New Albany based Buckeye Interactive is currently seeking candidates for a part-time, paid Marketing and Event Planning Intern. Buckeye Interactive is a young, energetic boutique interactive marketing firm providing web development, social media and other interactive marketing services to small businesses and organizations around the country. We pride ourselves on our expert blend of business strategy and web technology as we build great websites and digital marketing campaigns.

The internship start-date is between mid-May and mid- June, contingent upon candidate availability. Buckeye Interactive is seeking candidates that can work 15-20 hours per week over the course of 10-12 weeks during the summer with potential for continued employment beginning September, contingent upon candidate performance, interest, and organizational need. This internship opportunity will be housed at our easily accessible offices located at the newly opened INC@8000 (8000 Walton Parkway, New Albany). The candidate selected for this internship will have the opportunity to assist with projects and related learning opportunities that may include, but are not limited to:
· Planning, promoting and executing a series of at least 3 educational workshops on website development, social media, and interactive marketing
· Documenting procedures and develop training materials for future workshops
· Corresponding with attendees before and after the workshops
· Developing a marketing plan for Buckeye Interactive's social media and PR services

Buckeye Interactive is seeking someone with a strong mix of hard and soft-skills. To that end, ideal candidates will possess the following:
· Working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, and/or Communications preferred but not required.
· Excellent organization and planning skills
· Excellent communication skills with internal team and external clients
· Must have a social media presence (Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn at a minimum)
