COSI College Internship Position Description
Job Title: Event Team Intern
Reports to: Director of Events
Openings: 1
Time Requirement: 10 – 16 hours per week May-August ( Some Nights & Weekends required)
I. OBJECTIVE: Formulate and Implement COSI Event social media policy. Establish guidelines and implement multi-tier social media plan for promotion of COSI Event program.
II. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: Intern will establish connections in social media format and attend events in order to capture experiences to share with potential clients, “fans”, etc. Intern will also assist Sales Managers with various duties and tasks during events.
III. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the supervision of Annina Parini the Director of Events duties may include:
a. Attend major events as assigned, assist Sales Managers & Catering Staff with various tasks
b. Establish social media policies/procedures
c. Take video and photographs at each event to be shared on social media outlets
d. Write and post blog entries, keep journal of all client/event experiences
IV. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS NEEDED:
a. Previous event/catering/guest service experience
b. Expert knowledge of social media formats (i.e. facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, etc) & communications experience
c. Proficient in photography
d. Friendly, client-oriented attitude
e. Self-starter, independent thinker
V. SCHEDULE: As arranged by supervisor. Or give specifics if hours can’t be flexible.
