The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure
leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the
quality of life of patients and their families.

LLS is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood
cancer. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world
and provides free information and support services.

Our Key Priorities will ensure that: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
helps blood cancer patients live better, longer lives.

ABOUT LIGHT THE NIGHT
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk funds
treatments that are saving the lives of patients today living with
blood cancer. LLS is making cures happen by providing patient support
services, advocacy for lifesaving treatments and the most promising
cancer research anywhere.
Friends, families and co-workers form walk teams to raise funds for
the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. These efforts culminate in an
inspirational, memorable evening walk. During this leisurely walk,
fundraisers carry illuminated balloons - white for survivors, red for
supporters and gold in memory of loved ones lost to cancer. Thousands
of walkers-men, women and children - form a community of caring, and
bring light to the dark world of cancer.

Responsibilties included, but are not limited to:
•Create communication calendar and manage Light The Night Facebook &
Twitter feeds
•Promote Light The Night through online community boards, event listings, etc.
•Create Light The Night Team Blog to highlight LTN events, team
success stories and fundraising/recruitment tips
•Create Exact Target e-campaigns and newsletters that are sent to
participants, sponsors and retail partners
•Assist with print communications ie brochures, postcard and letter mailings
•Write and distribute press releases for Light The Night fundraisers and events
•Overall campaign support
*Qualifications:Undergraduate or Graduate student
Minimum 3.0 GPA
