Employment End Date: end of Spring term (May 10, 2013) – renewable contract for FT during Summer

Job Duration:     It is desired that the Intern will continue during the Summer term, increasing hours to full-time (40 Hours/week), same pay rate

Travel Percentage:          Occasional travel in Westerville area

Office Location:  Westerville Community Center

Reports to:  Darcy Baxter, Westerville Community Center

Position Description

Assist the Young Entrepreneurs Program (Y.E.P.) of Westerville planning team with research, press release writing, general marketing, social media campaign development and implementation, and office administrative needs.   Assist in the development and launch of the first ever Young Entrepreneurs of Westerville Summer Camp in Summer 2013.  It is expected that the intern will attend the organizational meetings of the Y.E.P. group.  The opportunity also exists for the intern to participate in the development of content for website display for Otterbein University, Westerville Parks & Recreation, TechColumbus, Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Westerville as appropriate.  The Young Entrepreneurs Program (Y.E.P.) of Westerville planning team is willing to adapt this description to assist the intern in developing other needed skills and experiences.

Qualifications

Candidate must be an Otterbein University student.  Basic knowledge of and interest in new program development for middle school youth and the entrepreneurial spirit to be flexible, creative, and motivated to create a successful program.   Show attention to detail, be outgoing and organized.  Express interest in planning and problem solving with logistics and processes.   Computer proficiency with Windows and related applications is required.  Good communication skills, listening and verbalizing are required.   Creativity and initiative are strongly encouraged and expected.
