 *Job Description: •Help plan and implement fundraising events including: Battle of the Badges: Climb for a Cure stair climb, Wild Crush wine tasting, and Great Strides walk event

•Research charitable programs of major local corporations and foundations

•Help with social media and marketing for events

•Reorganize event logistics and assist in the planning process for volunteer trainings

•Aid in volunteer recruitment, training and day-of management

•Problem solve ideas to streamline event processes

•Assist with donor recruitment, tracking and acknowledgement

•Communicate with local businesses, donors, participants and civic clubs to help promote events

 

 *Qualifications: •Demonstrate excellent writing, research and interpersonal communication skills

•Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Outlook and open to learning new databases

•Show attention to detail while being able to handle multiple tasks

•Must be outgoing and able to communicate effectively with others

•Must be a self starter and take initiative on tasks

•Express interest in event planning

•Must be very organized

 Additional Information: Students will work under the guidance of CF Foundation staff, acquiring skills and experience as they assist in the planning and implementation of fundraising events. The experience will include interaction with volunteers and vendors in addition to CFF staff. This is an unpaid internship, with a very flexible schedule and may qualify for academic credit at your institution. We like our interns to stay for a longer period of time to see the event planning process from start to finish, which offers the best learning experience.
