*Job Description: The Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting the Credit Union’s marketing department with coordinating and managing marketing activities in order to further Credit Union marketing objectives and to project and maintain a professional image for the Credit Union in both business and local communities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Completes miscellaneous writing assignments including articles for Member and Associate newsletters, brochures, product sheets, and website.
• Works with the marketing team on the inception and development of creative ideas and concepts related to individual campaigns.
• Coordinates marketing activities with printers, service agencies, advertisers and vendors to complete design projects on time.
• Assists with activities for special events such as Annual Meetings, grand openings, member appreciation and community event, youth club events, etc., by preparing signage, presentations, information sheets, etc., and making other arrangements as necessary. Also helps set-up, staff, and tear-down events, as necessary.
• Prints and/or distributes marketing collateral to branch staff and Business Development team, as appropriate and requested.
• Maintains and organizes the marketing supply room inventory and orders additional supplies, as necessary.
• Assists with preparation of member communications including statement messages, envelope overprints and teller receipt messages.
• Attends and supports marketing meetings and activities.
*Qualifications: High school diploma
Currently enrolled in Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in graphic design, marketing, journalism or related field
Zero to two years of related marketing experience
Excellent writing and editing skills
Excellent oral communication skills
Strong sense of priority, attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Strong project management abilities
Ability to meet deadlines
Works well independently and on teams
Ability to work in a changing fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Office, Illustrator, and Photoshop
