Assists with activities relating to four exhibit areas at the Natural Resources Park prior to, during & after the Ohio State Fair: (e.g., exhibit development, volunteer scheduling, and working with naturalist programming); sets up & takes down (e.g., displays, banners); media events & promotional efforts (e.g., assist in coordination & set up of media & promotional events across the state, works events promoting ODNR & Ohio State Parks, Watercraft, & Preserves; assumes responsibility for managing the pioneer cabin, kayak pond, disc golf, & camper village in the Natural Resources Park at the Ohio State Fair in managers’ absence; performs grounds maintenance (e.g., plants flowers,  shrubs, and removes weeds); operates state vehicle to travel from area to area of the state to perform job duties (e.g., drive to worksite, run errands, attend meetings & training). Creates social media content for Facebook and Twitter pages; maintains & manages volunteer & marketing program databases; performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge of: (11a) public relations, (13b) agency policies & procedures (department, division)*.  Skilled in: (25b) word processing (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), (29) equipment operation (personal computer, state vehicle).  Ability to: (30h) apply principles & solve practical, everyday problems; (31d) add, subtract, multiply & divide whole numbers; (32k) complete routine forms; (33e) gather, collate & classify information about data, people or things; (34b) work alone on most tasks; (35c) demonstrate strength to lift up to 50lbs.
