Assists the Department of Natural Resources' (ODNR) fair coordinator with activities relating to the Natural Resources park prior to, during and after the Ohio State Fair (e.g., amphitheater scheduling, park set up and tear down, media events, promotional efforts, public inquiries, & other public relations activities as directed); attends the Department’s State Fair Committee meetings; works with the other ODNR Divisions/Offices regarding state fair activities including tickets, parking passes, and scheduling; assists the Office of Communications with activities related to marketing, media relations, art & design and photography; assists with other large scale marketing campaigns including Explore the Outdoors (mailings, responds to public inquiries, events); performs other duties as assigned relating to the Ohio State Fair.
Minimum Qualifications:
The ODNR, Office of Communications is looking for an individual currently enrolled in college working towards a Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or related degree.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in college and must not have a graduation date prior to August 23, 2013.

If selected for an interview, applicants will be required to provide a current class schedule along with a progress report (unofficial transcript).
Supplemental Information:
This position will tentatively begin May 29, 2013 and tentatively end August 23, 2013.
