COLUMBUS ROTARY: Social Media

SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN POSITION DESCRIPTION
GOAL:
Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive social media presence for the Columbus Rotary Club
utilizing the club website and tools such as Facebook, Linked In, Twitter and other social media tools.
DUTIES:
• Develop and assist with maintaining a comprehensive social media presence for the Club
• Assist with maintaining the Club’s website
• Help to create flyers or other written materials to publicize activities to Rotary members Write,
• Edit and disseminate news releases to central Ohio print and broadcast media
• Attend monthly meetings of the Promotion Committee if schedule permits
• Work with committees and leaders of Rotary as requested to gather information about activities
that may be worthy of promotion
• Member relations
• Other duties as assigned, needed
• Dress, usually business casual
• Hours flexible between 9-4:30, up to 10 hours per week
• Duration: start anytime, 1 or more semesters maximizes experience

• Solid planning and implementation experience
• Guidance from experienced professionals in marketing, management, etc.
