SECRETARIAL & SOCIAL MEDIA

The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio is seeking a student intern (12-20 hours per week). This position supports the administrative, grantmaking, and fundraising activities of The Women’s Fund and its mission to transform the lives of women and girls by mobilizing the collective power and passion of all women working together.

Intern candidates should demonstrate an interest in the work of The Women’s Fund and contributing to The Fund’s mission as an enthusiastic part of the staff team. The skills and attributes we are seeking in an intern include: attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and experience using Microsoft Office programs. No previous non-profit experience is required.

Daily tasks include: providing general office assistance such as answering phones, filing, printing and collating, database entry, and office organization. Interns assist in development by performing mail merges and handling mass mailings, creating and updating spreadsheets, and conducting research. They volunteer at events and promote The Women’s Fund around our community by distributing flyers, sharing Facebook posts, following us on Twitter, and spreading the word about our work.

Special opportunities are available in the following areas:
· Communication – writing blogs; managing Facebook, Twitter, and Hootsuite accounts; composing and sending e-blasts; writing for the newsletter; developing media plans around special events
· Technology – Creating short promotional videos; using on-line systems to develop media clips; being responsible for taking pictures and Flip videos at events
· Grants – Scheduling workshops and meetings around grant cycle; editing grant applications and scoring materials; communicating with grant partners; keeping files on each grant partner; organizing electronic files for grant cycle
