Media Relations Internship, Operation Christmas Child

Samaritan's Purse is a non-denominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world for over 40 years.

We’re looking for a Media Relations Associate to provide media and promotional support for the Community Relations team of Operation Christmas Child (OCC) in the Great Lakes regional office located in Xenia, OH. This is a full-time, temporary position from July 18 to December 22.

Our Media Relations Associate will be customizing press releases; making media calls and sending e-mails for pitching and follow up; coordinating interviews and a special event; and providing general media support for our nationwide OCC ministry campaign. You’ll need incredible communication and public relations skills and must be able to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail. Candidates will have two or more years of college experience; Communications, Public Relations or Journalism majors desired. Candidate will have media/public relations experience in written and verbal communications and must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Some travel required.
