Here is our request for an intern. We are hoping to receive resumes over the next two weeks and then do interviews. I have attached our brochure. You can also visit our website at www.umcommunityministries.org

1) Description of United Methodist Community Ministries: UMCM is a district non-profit organization which assists 230 local United Methodist congregations in nine counties to connect with their local communities and reach out to people in need. Our slogan is: We help people serve. We are working on having a Community Ministry Liaison in every congregation who will share stories about local outreach ministries, as well as about the workshop and grant opportunities that we offer. We have a website, quarterly newsletter and brochure.
2) Intern Duties: Creative IT person-approximately 5 hours per week to be spent on further developing and managing our website and social media as well as assistance with brochures and newsletter. This could be a public relations major, communications major or IT major.
3) Compensation: unpaid internship- work can be done from home and/or in our office
4) Starting date: Nov 2010.
