Position: Marketing and Public Relations Intern
Job Description: The Marketing and Public Relations Intern will be responsible for assisting with daily operations of AmeriCheer's Marketing Coordinator. This position ensures the successful implementation of all marketing initiatives by daily hands-on assistance and support of the Marketing Department and other AmeriCheer corporate staff. This position reports to the Marketing Coordinator and Vice President of Operations.
Background: AmeriCheer, Inc. is one of the largest cheerleading & dance companies in the United States. Headquartered in Westerville, Ohio, AmeriCheer, Inc. offers a diverse curriculum of competitions and camps throughout the country, in addition to providing athletic apparel through its Victory Wear division.
Performance Expectations:
Assist the Marketing Coordinator with selected administrative duties to include data entry, marketing initiatives, customer contact via email and phone, mailings, paperwork, writing/proofing press releases and collateral content, and otherwise assist in supporting the Coordinator as needed
Researching information as needed by management in regards to the spirit industry and potential customers/vendors
Assist with planning of Department brochures and promotional items
Assist with website and social media updates and initiatives
Support the front desk as needed including facilitating mailings and covering the phones
Assist all other company departments and staff as necessary
Maintain a professional image and represent AmeriCheer in a professional manner at all times
Be able to work independently with little supervision
Exhibit enthusiasm, initiative and professionalism
Exhibit strong written and oral communications skills
Maintain complete confidentiality of company information
