Job Title: Editor/ Writer for Pubic Relations Agency
Description:
As a company we secure 25-30 new media opportunities (interviews or featured stories) a week serving entrepreneurs, health and wellness companies, authors, charities and nationally known experts. You will assist the CEO and Founder to manage all of the writing projects.
You will meet with the founder weekly to discuss weekly writing projects and client deadlines. In addition, you will get professional development and get to work hand in hand with a Millennial who has built a sought after PR company that gets people on TV stations such as FOX, ABC and CBS.
This is a virtual internship and if possible you will meet face to face weekly. Heather DeSantis Public Relations is rapidly growing so at the end of the 3 month internship there is an opportunity for part time or full time work. This is a credit based internship that will be task and project based and will be 20 hours per week. This internship is flexible for the right candidate so if interested please reach out to inquire. If the intern completes all tasks each week and tracks their hours they can receive 5% commission for all new business we bring on each week.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all guest blog writing for company which will include co-managing guest contributors community and editing their final blog post (4 blog posts per month)
- Manage all clients writing projects and deadlines using a Google Doc
- Have minimum one featured article on companies website per month on industry topics that include (PR, Social Media, Trends, Entrepreneurship)
- Edit all clients articles before submitting them to media opportunities such as Forbes, Entrepreneur, Mind Body Green, etc
- Assist in writing Media Alerts and Media Pitches
- Weekly conduct needed industry research that can be used for pitches
- Gather story ideas and write/produce pitch ideas for clients
- Add clients events to calendar listings
- Create monthly branded email to send to media with new guest and pitch ideas
- Write weekly Enews to send to email list
- Create media bios for clients

- Ideal candidate is a junior or senior and has had previous experience working for a magazine, TV, radio or a role in community relations
