Internship Program
Goal
Provide students
the opportunity to develop core skills in sales, marketing and customer service
while learning about the 20 billion dollar* promotional product industry. Prepare for a post college opportunity within
the industry while learning about a variety of different of companies.
Objectives

Use
your education to apply concepts in a real-world experience

about several other business disciplines such as human resources, marketing and
accounting

Improve
skills in communications and teamwork

Observe
and participate in business operations and decision-making

mentored by sales professionals who will provide instruction, guidance,
feedback and support

your network of professional relationships and contacts

Develop
a sustained work ethic and professional demeanor, as well as a commitment to
ethical conduct and social responsibility
Commitment
Artina will pay
an hourly rate of $12.50 for approximately 20 hours per week through the summer
semester. The intern will report
directly to the Vice President of Sales, meet weekly to discuss progress of
specific assigned projects.

Role
& Responsibility
The
responsibilities of an intern will include but are not limited to the
following:

Assist
in providing creative product and service solutions through sales proposals
·
Aid
the customer service team by reviewing the sales and order writing process
·
Support
the sales team by proactively prospecting for new business opportunities
through daily phone calls
·
Help
the sales team by sending mailers, promotional products and other marketing materials
to prospective clients
·
Support
the sales team by following up through daily phone calls to customers regarding
the completion of projects
·
Learn
the CRM system and help in cleanup and maintenance of the system
·
Will
do extensive research for customer opportunities
·
Attend
and contribute in weekly team meetings and sales training
·
Attend
networking events as a representative of Artina
Qualifications
The ideal
intern is a highly motivated self-starter and resourceful student majoring in
Business, Marketing or Communication.
Has the ability to research thoroughly to find answers to opportunities.
Must have a strong aptitude for developing
relationships, building trust in others and have a strong work ethic. Confidence in the ability to start a
conversation over the phone, has good skills as a communicator, both written
and oral, along with the ability to listen, probe and ask the right questions
to uncover opportunities. Needs to be a good
team player who contributes to a positive work environment.
