*Job Description:We are looking for an energetic, creative, positive team player, who is ready to meet the demands of a rapidly growing non-profit organization. Essential duties and responsibilities of the Walk Program Coordinator Internship include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Spearhead WWAD: Columbus Neighborhood Walking Clubs initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders, expanding marketing efforts, pursuing local grants and participating in public speaking forums.

• Act as a liaison to physicians, hospital systems, private practice groups and parks and recreation organizations with whom we work. Communicate frequently with these systems to provide them with the greatest possibility of success in implementing and carrying on a walking program.

• Identify and implement successful strategies to grow attendance at community walks.

• Assist in coordinating volunteers for the office and local walks. Must be able to occasionally attend Saturday morning walks.
*Qualifications:• Four-year college degree with preferred background in physical activity promotion, community program implementation, public health, marketing and/or communications.

• High level of communication/interpersonal skills: persuasive and engaging with the ability to effectively present information to large groups of people.

• Motivated, creative, innovative and enthusiastic
