Job Duties:
Responsible for content creation such as writing material
for the Discoverohio.com website, press releases, BuckeyeLine eNewsletter,
correspondence, social media, etc.
Inventory, update, & administration of digital image
library; responsible for categorizing & organizing images in the online
image system, loading new images to the library, assisting with determining
what new images are needed (possible coordination with photographer), &
fulfillment of image requests; posts press releases to the online press room
& updates as needed.
Research & fills media requests; assists/writes
responses to the requests; researches story ideas online & talks with
tourism industry members, including site visits to tourism attractions.
Assist staff with maintenance of the SceneInOhio.com website
(seeking out & adding content, photos, video, etc.); creates travel
itineraries; assists with social media strategy/content; proof/review copy for
any number of projects including the Discover Ohio Travel Guide and Calendar of
Events; & assist with office support tasks as assigned; other duties as
assigned.

promise to deliver service, support, & solutions to customers.
While the duration of employment of an intern is estimated to be one
(1) year, this is not intended to create an employment contract or change the
intern's employment status from an at-will/unclassified position, which can be
terminated at any time upon notice to the intern.
Qualifications:

Must
be currently enrolled in a degree program (excluding
summer semester preferably a junior, senior, or graduate level in journalism,
public relations, marketing, or communications). Will be required to produce college
transcript and current fee statement or class schedule.

A
test may be given to determine if minimum qualifications are met

Ability to work at least 20 hours a week for
the next year

Prior work experiences in an office
environment preferred

Proficient with Microsoft office suite of
products, specifically MS-Word, Excel & Outlook

Knowledge of HTML, Adobe Dreamweaver and
Adobe Photoshop preferred
·
Knowledge of Ohio geography and tourism is a
plus
