Title:

 

Volunteer Manager/Recruitment Intern

 

Summary: 

 

This intern will be working closely with the Program Director and Program Manager to recruit and manage volunteers for our In-Class Programs, while assisting in various aspects of volunteer training.

 

Job Duties:

 

·         Develop  communication pieces for In-Class volunteers

·         Monitor volunteer attendance

·         Record, report and maintain individual volunteer files

·         Recognize in-kind volunteers and their service

·         Keep all volunteer material updated for marketing and training purposes

·         “Recycle” material- Keep track of used volunteer material, and rebuild new volunteer kits

·         Set up, prepare for and/or attend various meetings with teachers, volunteers and schools

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail

·         Superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

·         Familiar with public relations writing including press releases, PSA’s and social media

·         Must have professional demeanor

·         Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel

·         Energetic, reliable and able to work independently
