MULTIMEDIA

Paid Internship in Multimedia/Communications
for the Ohio Health Information Partnership

The Ohio Health Information Partnership is a new, nonprofit that helps physicians and other healthcare providers adopt electronic health records. In addition, we’re responsible for creating a technological infrastructure so once physicians and hospitals have an electronic health record system, they can exchange patient health information across the state. It’s a complex and exciting innovation in Health Information Technology (HIT). We are now launching CliniSync, the state’s first exchange that will allow doctors to send patient information to other doctors. We are federally funded through the Office of the National Coordinator of HIT within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The Communications Director is looking for a multimedia intern who can give about 15 hours per week, at $8 per hour in a Hilliard office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Upkeep of a Joomla website

-Design using Creative Suite, such as brochures and fact sheets

-Shooting video and editing using Final Cut Express

-Using social media such as Twitter and Facebook to reach the public

-Working with Director to write press releases and success stories on videos (feature stories)

Applicants should be a junior or senior communications major with previous experience through an internship or job. Experience in multimedia such as graphic design and web editing is preferred. Applicants should be eager to learn and try new things.

(Send resume and cover letter to: Dottie Howe, Director of Communications, dhowe@ohiponline or 614-664-2605)
