Terra Gallery is looking for interns beginning fall 2010! Interns will manage and market Terra Gallery and its online gallery featuring over 200 artists from around the world. Installation and de-installation of work, preparing and promoting events, and packaging artwork are some of the tasks expected. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as creativity and familiarity with software such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat. Interns’ duties include:
- Managing/marketing Terra Gallery and its online gallery featuring over 200 artists from around the world.
- Installation and de-installation of work
- Maintenance such as cleaning the gallery and stock room
- Preparing and promoting events, such as Gallery Hop once a month
- Providing assistance to gallery visitors and process sales
- Packaging and shipping artwork
-Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, as well as creativity and familiarity with software such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat.
The position pays 10% of gallery sales for Interns manning the gallery and $10 per hour or a pre-established %age of sales rate for work on in house painting commissions. Rate depends on experience and ability.
